I see what you see!!! LOTS of extra lettering stamped on it, double neck line, I even see an object by the mint mark, how are all these extras NOT mint errors!!??? Explain to me why you think it is from "ware and tare" or " wear and tear"??? How do all those marks get on them from people having then? Makes no sense.. please explain...thanks!

How do you say it's just "toning"!?? I can clearly see a date under the Monticello building on the 1995 penny and other numbers on the front also all over the coin, not to mention the Y in LIBERTY is a V....it's not even a Y!! What would you call all three errors!???
I TOTALLY SEE WHAT YOU SEE AND THINK THEY ARE MINT ERRORS!! IN MY OPINION IT LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER COIN WAS STAMPED ON IT BY ACCIDENT OR THE MACHINE STILL HAD DYE OR TONER FROM ANOTHER COIN THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY MADE BEFORE THAT ONE. I have also learned that Canada makes some of our coins for us so that is why some people have found US currency stamped with Canadian currency!! For example: the 1970 Washington quarter worth 50,000 $ or more because a Canadian quarter was stamped on it... there is the date 1941 printed on the word "dollar" on the reverse along with a partial deer ( that's what is on the Canadian quarter)and an image of a guy's face and Canadian lettering on the obverse going through Washington's face..etc...I would get it checked out! I don't see how they're damages or ware and tare!??
I have a 1983 D Washington quarter also with similar errors that in my opinion are mint marks, how else would they have gotten there
I have a 1983 D Washington quarter very similar to yours!! I CAN'T figure out how to share it on here though! Lol
You have so much to learn about the coin minting process. They do not use any type of dye or toners when striking coins. Coins start off as blank planchets and are only struck with a metal Die (not dye) You can google How coins are minted and you will see the proccess in videos. The coin in question is not a mint error. Just damage. Slow down and read the responses given by other members on this thread such as myself who have many years experience with coins.
Buy yourself a brand new kitchen knife. After a few years of cutting, slicing, dicing and it banging around in the kitchen drawer it will not look the same as when you first got it.. Coins go through the same proccess and that's how circulation damage occurs.
Incorrect.. Somehow put a 1941 Canadian Silver quater into a bin in 1970. It was then struck with metal dies (as I explained) of a US Washington quarter in 1970. Google it and it will be explained to you. I found a good webpage for you - https://mikebyers.com/1949701-013.html Many members here on CoinTalk know very well that coin in question you talk about.
