1983 D. Is this consider DDO? Your opinion please

    Looks legit to me. You should research this error for photo confirmation since it should be a known DDO.

    The doubling I see seems flattened ( indicative of mechanical doubling), Since this was still in the multi squeeze die hubbing era they should have more 'rise' to them. Most DD, show both parts as raised , sometimes to the same height.

    I assume that you see LIBERTY as having doubling, but if you look at either side, neither of the width of that portion is full size. both parts of the doubling are smaller than the original width, another sign of mechanical or strike doubling damage. Same is seen on 'WE'. So from the photos I think it is MD. Jim
