So, I never even post about 1982 pennies, maybe once before cause they always cause confusion no matter how simple the discussion may be , that being said , let's see where this goes. My apologies for the pictures, this is the shiniest penny ever. 1982 small/zinc/ phili. As far as I know there is one DDR variety for this ridiculous penny, this doesn't match either. Strong crack through I in UNITED and weak crack through D in UNITED. No clash in any of the bays as far as I can see. Heavy doubling throughout reverse lettering .
I'm not sure. It appears something is going on. Compare your coin to this: Doubling can be seen on all reverse lettering. This variety is found on Small Date Zinc 1982 cents. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/doubledies/1982ddr1.html
Here's a few more pictures, the glare is a pain and definitely some plate reflection going on but once you get over that there is definitely something happening here.ill work on better pics, I apologise against for this garbage
IMO judging from the photos it doesn't look like a doubled die. http://www.doubleddie.com/144801.html
