Those became very easy to spot only After I purchased a small date proof set. Once I had the actual coin in hand to study the curvature of the 9 and the position of the 7 in relation to the 0, it became more obvious. Pics lack the depth, and for me seeing the actual coin for comparison was what it took. Now, I look first at the closure of the loop of the 9. Side by side, the small date looks nearly closed off compared to the large date. It's a dead give away. All this after I beat the 1970 S small date thread to death last year searching the rolls I already had. LOL Anyway, that worked so well, I bought a full set of the 1960 P & D large and small date coins and have set up a comparison page in one of my binders. It helped the sorting immensely. I even added the 82s, although those are easy. gary
