It is a small date. Is it copper? IDK, you have the coin...weigh it and find out. Looks like one to me FWIW.

CoinCorgi Tell your dog I said hi!

What's the point of looking at coins if you don't even know what you are looking for?

He's looking for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but instead of trying to learn anything, he wants someone to tell him what he has.

Do you see an error in this photo?

1982-D small date copper, 2 known.
Denver only made them on zinc, so the 2 copper are super rare.
The other 17 billion are worth 1 cent.
Slight premium for the 1982-S proof, and 1982 Philly small date in zinc or copper in MS grade.

There are 8 varieties for the 1982 Lincoln Cent.Your should have a set of scales to tell the copper from the zinc.

Thank You ...I thought small date 1982 and 1982 d copper Lincoln cents were considered errors ..the weight not sure over 3 grams the coin but it rings exactly at the tone copper pennies make.

You should use google or one of the many resources you have been provided here...these are rookie questions that are easily answered if you took 2 seconds to do some research on your own instead of, what @cpm9ball said, waiting for someone to tell you what you have.

It seems some people are like trying to win a horse race and catch up with likes and posts. SMH.

The one is that I can see. The 1982 D small date copper(3.1 grams) is the one you are wanting to look for. But don't spend your time just looking for it because its like looking for a needle in a haystack , without the needle being there lol.

Shrewsy, he's not looking for the needle. He's dumping the haystack in front of us and wants us to find it for him. If you go back and read most of his threads, he has done the same thing every time. He's not like you. He doesn't care about learning.

If you include the 1982-S large date proof and the 1982-D small date copper, that's 9 varieties.
But there's really only 7 in the business strike set as shown.
I finally got the SD Philly zinc to complete my set. That one was tough.
