Hello everyone. I came across what I believe could be a copper 1982 no mint mark penny, plus a 1982 D copper penny both weigh 3.1. Is this the real deal? Thank you.

Congratulations. You found 1 of the 7 business strikes for 1982. Over 20 billion were Minted and are worth 1 Cent each.

Oh, no mint mark just means it was minted at the Philadelphia mint.

1982 had both Copper Planchets at 3.11 grams and Copper plated Zinc Planchets at 2.5 grams.

You have shown only 1 obverse. Where is the other one? o_O

    Not that it really matters.

The 1982-D is undoubtedly a large date. Only the 1982-D small date bronze is valuable.

It’s real but the value can be found on the reverse.

Everyone above is correct, the odds of a major variety are probably the zero, I will find a 70'S small date in pocket change before I ever find even a doubled die from 82'

Hey @Jeffjay my premonition came true. I posted about a week ago a 70S small date found in pocket change.
