All I can tell you is that if you bought a roll of them, they’re either NOT small date or not bronze. I’ll assume you can see a D mintmark.

As Kurt has said there are 1982 Philly copper large date 1982 Philly copper small date 1982 Philly zinc large date 1982 Philly zinc small date 1982 San Francisco large date (I believe these are copper, before the switch to zinc) 1982 Denver copper large date 1982 Denver zinc large date 1982 Denver zinc small date Now, Denver was not supposed to have made any 1982-D small date copper. But 1 has turned up. The roll that you bought on EBay is worth 50 cents. The PHILLY small date in copper or zinc has value in higher condition grades. ( and the S because it is a proof coin).
