Hello. I have a 1982 P quarter I picked out in change here. Almost looks as though the P may have been stamped over something? Looks to be a slight doubling on the "G" in God we Trust. Also on the "I" in America on the back looks like a very slight double. And on the left ridge of the face side it looks like little dimples along the ridge. Also, it looks as though the "1" in 1982 has a little shaddow next to it. Any info would be greatly appreciated and thanks for your time in looking!
You forgot the "check mark" on the eagle's wing, lol. Honestly, I can't tell a thing from that scan, maybe a high resolution photo would help.
There is no zinc in a quarter. Please don't piggy-back on someone else's thread. Start your own thread with pics of your coin to get the attention you deserve.
I can't tell from the picture but it does seem to have something going on at the MM. It's unlikely to be something important since it's a closely studied date and nothing has been reported.
Its just a hard working quarter and I have seen that in some of my quarters. Nothing new. Just worn out coin.
