1982-P Lincoln Neck Missing - Worn Die?

    Looks like an Overpolished Die effect.

    Mint employee got a little rough on that die. But it just looks like a bit of a weak striking with a little agressive die polishing at the neck maybe? Hard to tell from the images if the neck marks are scratchs or polish marks. But that’s what I’m seein at this time.

    As others have said. Heavily polished. I'm guessing it doesn't add much value, if anything, but if I found it, I would invest a few cents in a 2x2 and keep it

    I don't see anything on yours, but sometimes you can see the remnants of a die clash that they are trying to polish out
