1982 No mint Small Date 3.11?

    Is this what you are talking about? it says it should weight 2.5000 gram and the one I have weight 3.11 ? am I missing something? Screen Shot 2018-06-18 at 1.26.10 AM.png

    Very easy..
    Copper is 3.11
    Copper plated zinc is lighter at 2.5

    You have the Copper Cent minted earlier in the year before they switched over to copper plated zinc Planchets which is still used to this day.

    some one in this post asked if it was a memorial reverse that the obverse was minted on? Im not sure what he is asking? and thanks for your help.

    So sorry for not responding earlier butthe reponse from another member was correct on what I was asking... I’m still “wet- behind-the-ears” (ie:rookie). A little over a year with the magnifying glass and ready to toss a usb microscope... I was hoping that you had found something really special...

    I feel your curiosity, excitement, and, your pain... I have not found anything that would add thousands or even a $50 bill if sold...yet...

    In Indy Car, all rookies have a fluorescent red strip of tape on their gearboxes. If only we could do that.
