1982 Lincoln Cent with light backwards D mintmark??

    I apologize for the photos.. Still leaning.. I noticed something under the 8 in the date so I tried to clean the penny and probably messed it up.. I don't know if this is doubled die on all the letters or if it's supposed to look like this?? But, I do know that there is a faint unsidedown D mintmark directly below the 8..     That's a Philadelphia minted Cent (no mint mint mark)

    @Candice Wise ...what you think is a backward D is a stain or damage... paredolia. There is no way that could be produced by the Mint.

    Just a random, co-incidental image among all the other accumulated wear. If it was a real MM it would be raised, (they were hand punched into the die until 1989, proofs until 1985) and is clearly not.

    Okay.. Thanks.. I knew it was probably nothing.. But I had my mom and sister look at it and they saw it too.. They all said backwards D.. lol.. TY
