1982 half dollar no initial

I don't have a picture of it on this phone but can someone tell me about this coin I'll put a pic. When I get outta work

Are you referring to the half missing one of the designer's initials? Ordinarily, when just one of the designer's initials is missing, it is the result of a grease-filled die. This really isn't worth anything over face value.

There are other instances, mainly the 1972 & 1982, that are missing both of the designer's initials. These will command a premium over face value because they were the result of an over-polished die. (I think!)

Oh yes it was an overly polished die. I have examples of 1983 also.
