Pulled out my pocket change today and found this gem. I’m not really sure what error it would be called so I haven’t found anything like it on the internet. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
But there is extra metal, you can see where the die started and made an error not post mint in my honest opinion.
they ran out of funding in the middle of construction But serious spirityoda is right its post mint damage looks like someone put a polishing dremel to it but who knows for sure how it got damaged.
The die didn't cause an error. Someone used something like a Dremel tool to grind down all of the devices except the central part. Chris
Just damage.. I have seen this damage many times before in my 31 years of collecting Mint Errors.. It is Not a Mint Error
