I think I found a couple 1982 pennys that might be worth holding onto. Im still really new to collecting so I need a lil help determining if i should hold onto them. The 1982 d ld zink has some doubling and i belive the second one is 1982 d sd copper. Also i noticed quite a bit of diffrence in the hairline on the two of them. Am i looking at anything worth holding onto? Thanks for your advice and answers.

They are both worth 1 cent. The large date is common, and they used copper for most of the year until switching to zinc late 1982. That green spot could be verdigris (copper rot) which is no good.
You can weigh the second one, the small date,
but it looks like zinc. 2.5 grams for zinc, 3.1g for copper.
They made 17 billion cents in 1982, so far only 1 1982-D small date copper has been found.

The best thing to do in this situation, is to keep these cents for reference, they may not be worth more than face value. but in time they may be an example of where your collection first started. I still have many a box of references, at least one for each mint issue.
