My apologies for making a new thread I could not reply to someone for some reason. I am attaching the requested photos and the penny weighs 3.3 and my scale is dead on. I made sure of it. Thanks for taking the time to look. I've been collecting pennies for 2 1/2 years but there's so much to learn, that I've spent hours on 1 penny. I've got around 100 that I think are errors but they sit in a jar cause good chance that I'm wrong. It's a little frustrating.
I replied to your post of this coin on the What's it Worth Forum. Sorry to say you have the Large Date 1982 D Lincoln cent. The 1982 D Small Date Copper coin is the valuable one. Only 2 have been found so far. If you think there are errors on your coin, it would help if you would be specific as to what the error is.
From my understanding, the numbers in the date have to align on top and bottom except the 9 on the bottom?
I didn't say what error I thought it was, because I wanted to know if you seen the doubling too, or I'm mistaking it for machine doubling. That's why I asked for your opinion on the coins.
Could you please post clearer photos of both sides of the 2nd coin with closeups of the area in question, Thank you.
