The 1982 Dime to look for is this

 

I'd have to say that it's just normal circulation wear....after 38 years its bound to have some.

 

You would be misinformed

 

I don't know what this post is about. Rose collector posted no photos of the coin in question.
But Heavymetal posted #45 of the top 100 modern US coins.

Sorry I'll put pictures on before I post.

 

I would say your coin shows signs of machine doubling due to the flat shelf-like appearance at the edge of the design on the reverse. Frank's nose looks more like die deterioration.

As the die deteriorates, the normally crisp, clean edges of the devices start to crumble and break, giving you the fatter, blurry looking lettering you have and the machine doubling
