Hi I was just checking the weight on my pennies the old fashioned way.
Are all the 1982 d pennies mostly copper?

Thought I’d try it out see if it works with a couple skewers

Best way is by looking at the numeral 2..
There is a difference.

When you get a cheap gram scale you will be looking for 3.11 grams for copper and 2.5 grams for copper plated zinc cents. Very easy.
