Hello everyone. Unfortunately this coin is copper rather than zinc but I do think it may have a DDR and a DDO and I’m pretty sure it’s a large date. Is it worth anything?

Why would that be unfortunate? Strange o_O

I see no doubling at all.

    Worth? 1 Cent

Suggestion.. Create any future threads over at the Error Coins forum here on CoinTalk. First worry about what you have. Value is the last thing to be concerned about.

I thought the zinc penny for 1982 was extremely rare. Wouldn’t that be nice-like beginners luck!

No not at all. 1982 Cents were made in both Copper and Copper plated zinc planchets. Millions of them.. Not rare at all.

Here are the 7 Different business strike varieties of the 1982 Cent

The only rare 1982 Cent is the Copper 1982 D Mint Mark Small Date. Only 2 have ever been discovered and attributed. There are dozens of threads here on CoinTalk of new members thinking they found a 3rd example but have always been wrong.
