1982 D copper - D/D?

    Welcome to Coin Talk. IMO it looks more like the mint mark took a hit. Wait for the experts to chime in.

    Tom,

    Very well could be. I have my new microscope now but don't have capability to store the pictures. They look clearer on the scope.

    Yeah,

    A better look at it seems as though it took a hit. What got me wondering was the shallower indication to the left of the D on the inside.

    Thanks CN... I was able to adjust setting on my microscope camera for high def and took better picture. Definitely took a hit.
