. The wrapper machine damaged coin on the end of an OMR 1981 Lincoln. Other planchets in the roll have similar planchets, scattered patterns and hues consistent with an incomplete alloy mix of copper and zinc. I have more pics to share, but want to let the new post jumpers with quick assessment to know, save any " it's a stain, circulation skuz, wrapper reaction, poor storage", type comments. Those circumstances have been ruled out. A few have been cleaned (no need for a don't clean a coin lecture here, keeping all uncirculated 1981s was never a consideration). It's an improper alloy mix circumstance, no acids, no tainting, no scientific high school experiment, etc.. I qualify my comments, with all due respect. I mean, I see that a new member, with a nickle issue, already gave up due to too much sarcasm quick draw opinions, and naysayers. I'd concede, some posters may be, well, phony or disingenous. Some are green, not to mention poor photography, hey, who routinely takes pics of coins? An absolute assessment can only be made physically, say, by the likes of Mike Diamond and colleagues. I would make some of these planchets available to known pros.. it's not about money or value. It's about, hopefully, adding to the error type collectors, who, thankfully, have added interest to Lincoln cent collecting far beyond the 43 copper and 55 dd I grew up with. I'm a Vietnam era vet, a teen when the wheat went memorial, and a young man when the 60 lg/sm date finally, fired up pennie collecting a little!

Again, with respectful intention, a post of interest, might have a plancet issue here, more pics to follow
