Thanks late reply but been busy here lately. I kinda thought it might not be the type 2 but had to make sure. I got it while at grocery store and the lady ran out of dollar bills but she had this in her till and asked me if it was ok if she gave it to me in place of a paper dollar and of course I said yes and asked if she had more but this was the only one she had.
It does match the chart exactly, so Steve was right on. It looks like the 81 Type 2 has more bulbous ends. But the 81 is low mintage. I would save it.
