Thank you Captain Oblivious. This is the very reason I disable notifications and disable subscribed threads, I don't need a gazillion emails when I can just visit the forum to read the threads. ;)

    Hello

I fail to see the trouble other than your impatience and lack of manners. Please do not use Pardisulation and spoil others enjoyment of the forums resources.

    Hello whatever your name is:

My name is Amanda, not "Captian Obvious". If your disabling all the notifications etc, etc, etc, then the only trouble this should be creating for you is one your creating yourself. The system is not nagging you. I can show you how to use the ignore feature as well. All the tools are available for you to modify the forum to your needs.

The one thing you've managed to do is make the newbie feel completely unwanted because of your selfish motivations.

God forbid someone should have more than a 30 second interest in anything, since some 75% of cointalk users are drive by users (at least according to hobo).

Next time you want to through water on someones new interest in learning, keep it too yourself.

You fail to see what I'm trying to accomplish which is trying to point out the "misdirected chatter" created by other members that do not contribute to the actual topic. I'm not creating trouble, someone repeating themselves on a forum causes "misdirected chatter".

And I know "Captain Oblivious" isn't your real name, it's sarcasm, a joke. Did you see my smiley at the end? You pointed something out that is already obviously known to me. I'm not stranger to forums or the internet. Thanks but I don't need your advice on what's already obvious.

I have to get back to work, so I have no more time to play with you. Please feel free to post your name so we can talk like people.

One post in this entire thread worth reading. OP, Conder just told you what the coin is.. MB is simply trying to raise the young ladies hopes and teach her to provide better pictures.

Pardisulation: Verbal critical evaluation of another's actions in such a way to verbalize abuse designed to create humiliation within the context of a crowd, thereby trying to persuade the crowd to join in the hostility against the targeted individual.

You can refer to my member name. If I wanted to use my real name, I would have used that instead. My real name is not the issue nor does it matter when talking to others on such a site.

I've already stated that the value means nothing to me. Everything I've posted are just simple questions to you all about coins probably not worth more then face value. I appreciate Conders reply to my post but I also appreciate mrbrklyns relpys and information he has provided to me other then just on this thread. I also appreciate his intrest in this coin that might not be anything at all just to show me some basics. I aslo like the fact that he didn't just provide me with an answer and move on after answering.

Hang with it and you will get some good information along with lots of bickering just like in large families. The coin you have is interesting and is some sort of error, whether it is PMD (post-mintage damage) which occurred after the coin was minted, or something in the minting process is the bone of contention. Glad you are not concerned about value, since it probably has little added value regardless of which it is. Bits of stuff of blanks to be struck can either leave voids such as you see on the back, or inclusions such as appears to be on the front. Taking pictures is painful for me, I just can't seem to get them right. It is a worthwhile skill to obtain, however. Please hang around and get some good stuff.

Why does it seem that 2 of the posters in this thread seem to be the same person? Very similar posting styles or just coincidence?

That mint mark is either smothered by a die chip or it is some sort of repunched MM or over mint mark. I don't see anything for 81'd at varietyvista or coneca so maybe you've stumbled onto something. Too bad its been through a washing machine or two. Cool find!

Watch it. I have 6 kids in addition to the neighbor. With 10 Brooklynites all from the same neighborhood, you would be able to construct the grand consiracy.

Sorry I'm not much of a conversationalist and I process a LOT of forum threads on different websites each day. Someone asks a question, I answer it if I can and move on. I then come back around again the next day or maybe the day after.

Yeah, I learned long ago when answering tech support questions, the motto was "don't marry the customer" which meant, don't spend 2 hours on a call that should take 5-10 minutes to fix. I think the same applies on online forums, provide an answer if you have one and move on to the next person who has a question.
