Thanks for the photos. From what I can determine (photos still not clear enough for me) there is no doubling, IMO. Keep on looking for errors and/or varieties, I do.

The avatar coin has the stain on the face, but there also appears to be horizontal stripes on Lincoln's chest and under the date. This may be due to improper mixing of the alloy. Do you see anything else that looks unusual on the coin?

Is it a chip of extra metal?

 

Yes, a die chip is a stray piece of metal, essentially.

 

The die itself is chipped off. That shows up on the coin as a raised hunk of metal.

 

@PamR I can't tell from the photo. Can you see if it is a depression or a die chip?

Well, I can tell you this. Since I have started looking at coins, a week now lol. I need new readers, stronger magnified glass lol. But I’m learning. I think it looks clear but I have to remember downloading it, it will look different to you all.
