1981 P Dime error?

    It did come from the mint in that condition, but that's because it was struck by dies that were pushed WAY beyond their usable life. It's very common.

    More evidence of the Philadelphia Mint's atrocities being committed on our coinage. Off to the Hague with them!;)

    Thanks! I have personally never seen one. A friend gave this to me and said "find out what's wrong with this" lol

    Just noticed the E in One. Is that a die chip or just extreme metal flow problem?

    Can you tell any better with this pic? Gosh it's hard to get light in the right direction, hold a magnifying glass, and take a pic of it. But the line almost looks as if it runs through the whole word??? 20170201_185341.jpg

    Thanks. No, I guess it was just the lighting or angle before, not a die chip.
