    A grease/debris filled die. No real premium for a coin in that condition.

    Since it's missing the L and I then it's worth less.

    Those recesses get clogged with junk sometimes. It's picked up by the grease. The dies are lubricated so they won't run hot and seize like a car engine can when it's out of oil.

    Yeah, as they've pointed out, there was some grease that got in the way. If there was a lot more, then it might carry a small premium, but only in decent shape too.

    Heavy enough grease on the die to cause this. This type of error is nice to find but worth very little as it’s common. Congrats on your find.
