1981 Lincoln Cent "Two Face" GTG

Yes, I was already reminded of that. Now these are different than the clads starting in 1964.

 

Well, friends, the folks in Newport Beach came back on this piece. They gave it a STRAIGHT GRADE, and it graded higher than I expected! MS66RB (3/1 at PCGS)! The images came back pretty neat as well.

 

What is a "two face" Lincoln cent?

 

Just a description of the toning on the obverse, reminiscent of the Batman villain of the same name.

 

The tone on the Lincolns are superb.

 

Just want to say CONGRATULATIONS on the nice grade! I think PCGS did a slightly better job of capturing the full toning on the obverse than I did - it was a tough one!

I'm surprised at 66. The strike seems a little mushy for such a grade. I would have said 64RB, but I expected them to detail it for AT. Cool coin.
