1980p dime clad error?

    Dime is darker than pics and is thinner!! The head sticks out and the coin rocks on it( don't lay flat because of the head)! All opinions welcome..:)

    Doesn't seem like a clad error, it appears to be the right color in the photo, though it may just be the light. Not sure why it would rock on the head, the rim may be worn down or struck wrong or something.

    This still don't show actual color! Dark charcoal and there is no ware on the edges! Almost have to feel it! Lol

    If you have a scale, weigh it in grains, then weigh a dime of similar condition, then post the results. I see the picture much more clearly now, it does look odd.

    It looks like an ordinary tarnished dime to me. Clad coins that have been dropped on the ground or buried look just like your coin.

    That would not explain why Roosevelt's bust protrudes higher than the obverse rims.
