Striated 1980 Lincoln Cent Improper Alloy Mixing

I know it's only worth a cent, but I like the striations on the obverse

    Sweet.

I'm just starting to set aside some coins based just on their surface appearance.

So, since I know squat about cents, allow me to be the one to post the silly question; Is there a difference between improper alloy mixing and "Woodies?" If so, how would you tell?

"improper alloy mixing" is the cause and "Woodies" are the result.

Billyray teh last time I checked, those were worth 2¢. Not to shabby either.
