1980-D Lincoln Cent Shoulder Cud

    Check it out- my first circulation find of a cud. It was about the only thing interesting in an otherwise horrible box.

    Can you tell me more? I do not know what 'LC-80D-1' is.

    LC = lincoln cent
    80D = date plus mintmark
    1 = the # assigned to this particular cud.

    Together, this is how cuds are given reference #s in by Thurman and Margolis in "the cud book". Although it has 100's of pictures in the book, for LC-80D-1, it says "coin lost in robbery. Obverse cud between 6:30 and 7:00". Your coin is NOT the other cuds listed/pictured for 1980-D, so thus i said that it is 'probably' LC-80D-1.
