Check it out- my first circulation find of a cud. It was about the only thing interesting in an otherwise horrible box.
LC = lincoln cent 80D = date plus mintmark 1 = the # assigned to this particular cud. Together, this is how cuds are given reference #s in by Thurman and Margolis in "the cud book". Although it has 100's of pictures in the book, for LC-80D-1, it says "coin lost in robbery. Obverse cud between 6:30 and 7:00". Your coin is NOT the other cuds listed/pictured for 1980-D, so thus i said that it is 'probably' LC-80D-1.
So you get a taste of the book, here is the free online supplement to the book. http://www.keysquality.com/downloads/2001supplement.pdf
