Hey all, apparently there was some down time for coin talk, Welcome back to all and hope everyone is doing well. I hope there's someone who can help me with this because I really never totally figured out RPM. To me it looks like the mint mark is doubled west of the D, or the coin has took a hit WIN_20240810_18_50_29_Pro.jpg WIN_20240810_18_50_40_Pro.jpg WIN_20240810_18_53_11_Pro.jpg WIN_20240810_18_53_50_Pro.jpg

    The mintmark was dented.

It looks like a doubled mint mark. If it was anything else , the other lettering would show as die deterioration also and I see none of that. Jim

    Looks like RPM to me.

My first thought was an RPM. I’ll stick with my first thought.

I think it is a hit the MM placement is too high and to the right, IMO.

I also think it's PMD. The same type of hits happened to the date and elsewhere. MM position does not match either of the two on VV.

thank you all for your input, I'm leaning to a hit myself but going to hold onto it for later observation when I get my new camera set up.

Looks like circulation damage. Not an RPM. Good luck on the hunt!
