198? Dime, Minting Error or Garbage Disposal?

Not error. Never thought of garbage disposal. I'm going to make one tonight!

On second thought not garbage disposal either as no cuts across surface.

 

I want to know how you might think that's a minting error.

Here's why I thought it could possibly be caused in the minting process......hey, I'm just sayin.....

 

Thanks! I gave up on the idea when I realized that was not what happened to the dime. Just thinking about it you are correct - "JAM CITY!"

BTW, the last time the apartment maintenance man serviced my disposal he threw a medium size, round, quartz beach rock into it "to sharpen the blades"

 

Don't try the lawn mower theory either. It will shoot out like a bullet.

 

I'm going with BU -- Beat Up. Definitely PMD.
