I know these pics are hard to tell and I am waiting on new equipment today...but I can't wait on this one. You can see a distinct square-ish Mark under the S. I believe it is a S stamped over D. What do ya'll think?

It's just a "filled" S. On the 1979 there is the Type 1 filled (blob) S, and the better variety Type 2 with a nice delicate S.

Thanks Michael, I did look at the 2 types, but what makes me question is the distinct lines on the right. I will just wait for my new camera and look closer to see if it can give more detail. Appreciate you!

I have 2 of these and they have those lines.
I am unaware of an S over D 1979 SBA variety.
That doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

By NO means was I negating your information. I just wanted to get a better look with better equipment (because I was using a rickety magnifying glass) before I threw it in the "to go" pile. I truly appreciate your response and information 100%
