1979 Susan B Anthony that weighs 9.4 grams?

    I found a 1979 SBA with the weight of 9.4 grams. I know a common one weighs 8.1 grams. And it appears to have doubling on the reverse side. I would like some information on what I might have . Thanks

    Pretty sure it's a counterfeit.

    Maybe is was someone in China on his/her first experiment with counterfeiting US coins.

    OP, if you're serious about this, the first thing to do is to post photos of both sides of the entire coin, not a bunch of disjoint close-ups. It's like asking us to identify a face based on close-ups of the forehead, nostrils, and right earlobe.

    I will post full photos so everyone can FULLY see the coin . I do appreciate everyone’s opinion on it. I had a funny feeling that something was up with it.

    I would have to agree that there is a good possibility that this is a counterfeit. (Which frankly probably makes it worth more than a real one,)

    As a counterfeit, it's much more interesting and worth more than $1.
    The eagle looks awful.
    If it were a thickly rolled planchet, it still wouldn't be that heavy.
    This is an awesome find for $1.
