1979 Canadian nickel obverse bust of a 78

    Learning all kinds of new stuff today a nickel is magnetic a Canadian nickel also I believe I have a large bust on a 79 nickel which there was a transition I think in 78 need your help thank you86

    You are correct, Canadian nickels transitioned to a smaller bust in 1979. Your nickel has the smaller bust type. The positioning of lettering in relation to the bust matches up with the layout for the smaller portrait. In 1979 there were no nickels produced with the larger portrait.
