Hey old timer I still would trust Mr. Diamond to examine some of my coins. Any expert can get it wrong from time to time and I personally have seen it happen. And another thing I probably have looked at more coins than about anyone . I know quite a few of the error coin folks and used to communicate with some of them and share knowledge . I bet I may even know you if I knew your real name. I am the one that discovered many of the better variety coins because I know what to look for. Now you should know who I am. If I had not been able to discover them they would probably still be circulating around. I'm betting that I'm older than you .

You can take it to the bank that the coin in this thread is a true mint error and it is a struck thru die cap . I remember a certain person said it couldn't be because of the tiny pieces of copper in the letters IN GOD WE TRUST . He was just going by my poor photo back then and didn't realize this is tiny fragments of the worn out die cap. A person no matter who it is should never make a call on a coin from a photo unless it is one of the easier to identify errors or varietys. You would think others would understand this.
