1978 no mint mark error?

    Not an error, just a coin minted at Philadelphia. Coins minted at Philadelphia did not carry a mint mark. I don't remember the date they started using a mint mark on them, but I'm sure someone will come by soon with that information.

    Did you look at the condition of the quarter? Looks weird. What would make it look like that
    Looks like the copper clad is showing through

    It's just beat up. It looks like it has been bouncing around a parking lot for a while. It's a spender.
