    This was once a beautiful proof coin! So Sad!!!!! Found it CRH today!!!

    hey 1stSgt22 I've got to go with Evan Saltis on the acetone soak. if dirt and grime is all that's on your coin then the acetone will take it off. good luck and thank you for your service.

    You're welcome for the service!!! Unfortunately I have serious lung issues so don't think I will be able to use the acetone. Guess I'll just leave it as is and keep it as an example of how ignorant some people can be!!! LOL

    Distilled water will loosen the dirt. You’re not needing to stabilize it or remove any glue.

    Acetone may help. So might some other things but it will always be an impaired proof. What a shame for that to happen to a once beautiful coin.
