1977 odd looking dime

    Is this coin an error or fake? It has a weird edge, looks at spots like it is Reese’s.

    Looks like an ordinary, damaged dime, however I cannot tell why the edge is pushed in like that.

    The edge has been eroded, most likely by a chemical that is strong enough to dissolve the copper but not the Nickel.
