    It is not a Lamination error. Looks like part of thr Clad layer was damaged after it left the mint.

    this is easier to see. Missing a chunk where the "I" (from the E to the L) would be then the top layer was peeled off going to the left. Really kinda cool. I've always thought about doing that just to see.

    What does the edge look like in that area ?

    I stand corrected. That looks like the lamination took part of the outer clad layer with it. Nice error.
