1977 D Penny (silver color)?

    I have never seen a penny like it. I was wondering if anybody had more info about it.

    Based on your photo's it appears your coin has been plated it is not a mint error. JMO

    Anyone ever seen a Zincoln that was in turn replated a silver color? That would require some extra thought.

    I found a nice gold plated one recently. (Looks better in hand)

    I guess I'm asking if plating onto an already thin plating works.
