Hi all… help on this one. I have taken as many photos possible to get it as clear as possible. DDO? Or Machine? To me of course it looks like DDO lol! But that’s me! Thanks for any input!
Anyone is at libert yy to opine. Why..y? Because we all have opinions. (see what I did there? Group Hug....)
In great shape if found in circulation. I hang onto coins like this one. Isn't worth more than face value but still neat to have until something more unique or collectable comes along.
I like the coin, but I'm sure there are better ones. If I sound disappointed, I am. I like to collect coins from the 1940 to 1970. Everyone is checking out purses now in hopes of finding good coins. When I was in the 7th grade, I had a paper route and had to collect each month. I found a lot of coins that were nice, but somehow, they disappeared. I got blamed for loosing the money. Years later, I was disappointed when my brother told me he got it. He was in the 4th grade. I wanted to beat the crap out of him, but my parents ended up paying for his mis deed. He never paid for the missing loot. Thirty years later, after my parents were gone, he told me he had taken the money. He was a 37 year old Seal. I never bothered to let him know I was pissed.
There is way too much lighting reflection to see what it is. It could be MD or DD, but without clear look at the edges, you can't tell.
I would say it has character of a die deterioration damage, and not a true Doubled Die. But you will see many like this on EBay, and ,many other floating around. In my opinion, the ones shown in the variety vista are not what they are listed as either, but it is my opinion that too many members believe all of their stuff is accurate, so be cautious IMO ,
Awww! Yes I like when I do find them in good condition. This one stood out comparing to other 77s. Thanks!
Thanks! And yes everyone has different opinions and a different eye. I guess the true eye is if one sends off which I’m not one to do so. To spend the money etc lol. Thanks again!
The one on VV doesn't even look like a DDO to me. At one point one would have to ask oneself why even look for that one? I understand why you asked on your coin, Pam, yours at least has something going. That one on VV, I'm sorry, not impressed.
Nice! I’m not a collector or have much experience but I recently inherited 3000+ coins and sets. What’s the best way to store them?
