1976 D or S Coin

    Hello!

    I have this 1976 coin. It has a lot of cut damage as you can see from the photos. The 9 in the date is messed up and it is hard to tell if the mint is a D or S

    Could this be worth more than face value?

    definitely damaged.

    Why would you think it be worth more then face value in that condition ??
