Hello I am new to collecting and have been reading about getting certain coins/bills graded. I have also read $2 bills are mostly face value. I have these three and was wondering should I have them graded. The serial numbers are sort of low and in order, they end with a *, two of the notes are off center in the front, and they are crisp 1976. Advice greatly appreciated..
You can do a star note lookup at this website http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/star-notes/lookup I did the first serial number and it is towards the less rare side. All 3 of your $2.00 notes look to be in great condition. Someone that collects them might be interested in paying a small premium. I really don't see any kind of printing errors. Just slightly Off-Center but not enough to make them desirable.
I would advise (not to have them graded) Grading cost money and should be Done only to increase value of semi or rarer type notes, though your notes Are cool, in my opinion, maybe put them in a frame and hang them on the Wall, for a conversation piece
@mpcusa, just curious about the format of your post (each line beginning with a capital letter). Not criticizing, just curious, as it's the way poetry would be typed. Are you a poet? Steve
