Not supposed to clean your coins!!!! Use water and maybe dawn dish detergent and a very soft bristled toothbrush. Only if needed. Otherwise, they are considered cleaned Coins. And that is not good. If you want to sell them. If they are worth a premium and they are cleaned Coins, then that devalues them.

Amy your likely circulated 75 Lincoln is best to be kept to look at and study, even with a die crack on the reverse by the memorial will not give it much value. unless its major mint error, and even then they are pretty common.

It is only worth face value unless you know an idiot who doesn't know any better.

PMD as it was damaged after it left the Mint. Nothing in the minting process would have caused that.

I have a 1981 penny that the 8 looks like a 21 or an upside down 5 to me. Any thoughts

Yeah, stop drinking! Just joking, it took a hit in that area so it's damaged.

Copper is a soft metal and it can easily be moved. On a coin all sorts of crazy things can happen. Ever seen a T in trust turned into a 1?

Nope. Have not seen that yet. Lol. I have a lot of copper pennies saved and 33 wheat pennies. Where is the best place to get the best value for them? I have a friend of the family that owns a coin shop but is that the best way to go?

    Hi:)

    Imho,
    It all depends.

    A) sell to a dealer who will offer less

    B) put it all on E-bay

    C) organize the collection, sort out the years (example 1800-2019) look for key dates, then look for errors and varieties that are worth it.

    D) throw it all on your bed ,
admire your awesome collection and then roll in it.

    I’d probably pick D ;)
