The areas in the red ovals exclude this from being FS. And there are other areas as well. These images are plenty large enough to tell if one is FS or not. They are magnified much greater than what the graders use.
I took lots of images this morning, there's not enough MP in this scope to catch those fine lines in the steps .
If you are so certain why not send it in for grading? Either PCGS or NGC will do. If it comes back FS I'll pay your grading fee for the coin. I'm serious..........you have nothing to lose and everything to gain if it gets the designation. PCGS will even take a good photo of it free if you use their Secure service.
robec... that's seriously bad advice. If it gets FS, you'll pay... what if it doesn't??? (Which it won't!) What does the OP do with a <$1 coin that he has over $40 in??? This coin WILL NOT get FS. Sending it in is a waste of money and time. Although the services offered by both PCGS and NGC are excellent, learning the threshold for the designation would be a good idea. This coin does not even come close to meeting the criteria.
