i think i found one as well...... i dont know how to make it bigger then this..... how can u tell if it is a "proof" or just a regular dime?
Sorry, you've just got yourself a run of the mill 1975 dime. Proof coins are produced differently. They're far more reflective, and have a kinda "cropped" edge. The one posted earlier on the thread is a proof coin. Look up "proof set" on google images.
thanks Thank you so much i have been looking online all night and some today and thats the first time anyone has said that Proofs are shinier. i could not for the life of me figure it out.
Well, proofs are not exactly always shiny, as you can see by my 2002-S cent: But, I can definitively tell you that your dime is not a proof.
what is a good website to use as a guide? I am really starting to have fun looking things up but the site i was using seems to say everything is worth something.
