From a coin counter, just damage. Some older counters were out of adjustment, so they missed the rim and scraped the surface. Jim

You posted a large number of your personal photos other than coins, so you should delete and repost only the coin ones. Use edit below and if it won't a mod will do it if you report it. Jim

Hi! I also found a 1975 dime and was wondering if it was damaged or doubled die. 28CBAD69-99B5-4322-91F0-51BC0C728D70.jpeg AA649CF8-360D-4AE7-BE3F-9027A44045F5.png 3E3D116E-A140-4F0D-A555-9BDB6D5A473C.png 6170399E-C039-4930-93A5-02ABFA97B7A8.png

No significant DDs listed for the year. Also not seeing any, just normal wear and tear; post mint damage yes.

It's damaged from circulation but it's also a MAD, a misaligned die. Notice how small the rim is by the date and directly across the coins surface thevrim is extra wide by LIBERTY. No added value or NAV for this as it's common.
