ok so i found a penny that is silverish in color its exactly as round as a copper penny slightly thicker but weighs less and even has the feel of let say an aluminum can there were 66 of these minted in that year and only a couple dozen have been found even more interesting it has a freemason symbol stamped into it that fits perfectly inside lincolns shoulder is there any sure fire way to make sure it is alluminum i can guarentee its not plated by an experiment cuz ive done them in school and its not the same and i kno its not steel a magnet doesnt even phase it
It's a freemason token. I can't remember exactly why, but the freemason's have alot of different tokens with their symbol on it.
The 66 reportedly made in 1975 were trial strikes, and both the 1974 ( 14 , 15?)and 1975 are subject to seizure by the Treasury still I do believe. The weight should be less than a gram with avg. about 0.934 gram. Jim
