1974 quarter possible mint error

I have something similar, I've just read this whole thread. Wow. So I was inclined to check for plating with a strong magnet and weigh mine. Mine is only chrome on obverse, the reverse is normal. It also comes in at 5.9 grams - normal. Is there any other reason this could happen for instance, improper annealing or something?
