edited That quarter isn't worth any more than 25 cents. I wouldn't go around handing out false hope if I were you. A 1974 quarter will not fetch big money for another 500 years. There's no need to "be careful" with that coin. It's pocket change... And the point of most comments above was not to demean or antagonize the OP. We try to help newer members by giving them the most accurate information, even if it hurts their feelings.
I have the 2005 it's the 2nd generation and to be honest, I also have a 2003 Prius, 1st generation which I like a lot more. It's much more solidly built. The 2005 is more rickety and flimsy. As for the quarter, (1974) it's a common date, they made 800 million of these. In order for a coin to be worth more than it's face value spending power, it needs to be: old, rare, contain precious metal, be in excellent condition, or possess some variety or error. Any of those criteria and a coin can be worth more. But most coins 99.99999999% are not going to be worth more.
@Nickyd00z ...Congratulations. With 1 post you completely alienated the entire Forum, minus Evan. @Evan Saltis ...if you liked what Nicole said, then you are just as out of line as she is. To both of you...Manners matter...Good Luck to you...Spark
Hi Spark, I don't remember exactly what the reply I liked said, but if it was the sarcastic remark that I think it was, it was a mistake. I'm sure at one point we were all in the same position as the OP - new and trying to get started without a whole lot of experience at all. If I agreed with Nicky, I probably would have berated the poster too, however, I understand. My sincere apologies if I appeared to feed into the disaster this thread is becoming. OP: if you happen to read this, please know that some people are a little bit salty sometimes. Don't let it get to you. My recommendation is to buy the softcover red book, it isn't incredibly expensive and quick reads just flipping to random pages can help you get inspired to where you want your collection to go! Looking through your pocket for little "diamonds in the rough" would be much easier too! Here are links to get you a copy of the said book: On Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Guide-Book-U...&s=gateway&sprefix=us+red+book,aps,280&sr=8-2 On eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-Red-B...m1a79593a97:g:A4YAAOSwptNau8b-&frcectupt=true
Oh, on another note it seems Nicky was either banned, or deactivated her account. She knew what she got herself into.
